8-HOUR SUPPORTED SCAFFOLD
INSTALLER & REMOVER REFRESHER

COURSE DESCRIPTION

This scaffold training course is intended for individuals looking to renew their expired or soon to expire 32-Hour Supported Scaffold Installer and Remover ID Card used in the supervision and use of supported scaffolds in NYC. Otherwise known as 8 hour pipe scaffold erector course, this course is designed to review what was learned during the 32 hour supported scaffold installer/remover course as well as discuss changes and updates to New York City DOB and OSHA policies, and supported scaffold standards. Classroom time often gives students a chance to share job site experiences and opinions about new supported scaffold solutions and systems. During this course students will be discussing changes and updates to OSHA and New York City Department of Buildings (DOB) policies, procedures and supported scaffold standards.

The instructor will assess students to determine if each student is capable of applying rope knots used to rig scaffold equipment, properly install/maintain fall protection systems, safely build supported scaffold systems and walking/working scaffold platforms and immediately prior to the end of the course, students will independently participate in a multiple choice final exam.

Audience: This course is intended for workers who are renewing an expired or soon to be expired 32 Hour Supported Scaffold Installer/Remover Refresher ID card to continue to supervise and use supported scaffolds in NYC.
